The Casino de Barcelona hosts the first round of this year’s European Poker Open. This magnificent venue sits at the foot of the Frank Gehry designed twin towers in the centre of Port Olimpic (the modern Olympic Village area built for the 1992 summer games) and beneath the luxury of the Hotel Arts.

The four-day tournament attracted a record-breaking 480 players, 155 more than last year. This made it the largest attendance for an EPT event and creating a prize pool of €2,304,000 - close to double last year's pot.
