  1. I could think of good suggestions for a presenter of the show...if you can't get Bob Holness, for someone like Alexander Armstrong, Richard Hammond, or maybe Tony Slattery.

  2. I've E-Mailed the application address - I'm just waiting for a reply now! I hope I get one, I've been a fan of Blockbusters for nearly 20 years! I'll be VERY intrigued to see who lands the job of host! :-)

  3. given his condition I don't think Bob would come back. However I can definetely imagine Des Lynam being a good host for a show like Blockbusters

  4. I've really enjoyed the nostalgia of watching the old Blockbusters on Challenge & have been wondering whether any or all of those young people managed to realise their ambitions!?

As for a presenter for the new Blockbusters, how about Dale Winton? He's always friendly, seems to get along with most people & I think would make a great presenter for this particular show!

  8. nice to see a classic show re vamped look forward to watching :) bring back the great again in britain!!

  9. Great to see this show having a reincarnation and how sad to learn that Bob Holness died a couple of days ago.

I think someone with a similar personality to Bob would be an ideal candidate to host the new show. It needs someone with the same cheerfulness and informality, yet convincing authority, to give continuity to the revamp. Dale Winton would fit well into the role as would Ben Shepherd.

  10. Bob Mortimer - then we could respect Bob Holness by keeping the catchphrase "Can I have a P please Bob"

    Pete Berrecloth 10 January 2012

  11. Michael Aspel and Paul Coia have done it on the BBC version, how about either of them? Julian Clary, John Sargeant, Rufus Hound or Richard Osman?

    Martin Duhig 13 January 2012

  12. If you have't got a presenter I'll do it !!

  13. Well if you need a presenter i'm your man !
If not me then how about Stephen Fry, a man who knows everything, just what your show needs, but I am still available, call me.

    Regards, Mike.

  14. what about bradley walsh i just love him as a quiz show host instead of an actor

    Kieran Dunhill 27 January 2012

  15. I loved the show and me and my wife would love to be a part of a new history in this programme. Cant wait for the Goldrun. I think Carol Vauderman would be grate fro the programme.

    Mark Taylor 31 January 2012

  16. i dont mind who host it as long is its not carole vordeman she is rubish, though i would like to see jo pasqualie host it

    Peiter Wallace-Docherty 03 February 2012

  17. Michael Barrymore would be ideal as a Tv comeback, he gets on with everyone whatever his age and was good in the shows he did.
The media crucified him despite not being found guilty of any crime.
This would be an ideal comeback into mainstream tv again.
