Stars in their Eyes

Still going strong after 16 years and with a loyal fanbase of millions, Stars in Their Eyes has become something of a national institution.

Challenge will be airing classic episodes featuring the endearing presenting skills of Matthew Kelly. The singer impersonation show takes five ordinary members of the public who reckon they have a talent for taking off their favourite stars.

Matthew introduces them in their normal guise, we learn about their home lives, family, work and aspirations before they utter those magic words announcing their intended performance: ‘Tonight Matthew I will be...’ and disappear through the star door only to return transformed into the star of their choice.

Over the years many Shirley Basseys, Elvises and Chris De Burghs have graced the stage. While special celebrity performances have included Carol Vorderman as Cher and comedian Frank Skinner transforming into Elvis Costello.
