competing in satellite tournaments around the
world, the tour creates a new millionaire at
almost every stage with event prize pools of
up to ten million dollars.

such as Aruba, Paris and Las Vegas, this
intense No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em competition
is compulsory viewing for all fans of the game.
The innovative Hole Card Cam allows viewers
a privileged look at the players’ cards during
the matches, helping them understand the
tactical logic of the players’ raises, bluffs
and folds.
Joining World Poker Tour veterans Vincent
Van Patten and Mike Sexton, the glamorous
Courtney Friel will complete a trio of
entertaining hosts providing extra insights into
the drama of the game both onscreen and off,
with background information on the rules,
venues, and amazing players.
Commencing with The Mirage Poker
Showdown in Las Vegas, poker legends
Eugene ‘Mr Brooklyn’ Todd, Gavin Smith and
Thang ‘Kido’ Pham thrash it out for a grand
prize of more than a million dollars and a seat
in the final championship worth
25 thousand dollars.
This high-stakes competition is open
to both professionals and amateurs alike, with
skilled poker stars such as the UK’s
Roland de Wolfe, Denmark’s Rehne Pedersen
and Las Vegas original Joe Bartholdi
competing under great pressure for milliondollar
prizes across America and around
the world.
Since it began in 2002, The World Poker Tour
has more than quadrupled its prize pools and
attracted thousands of entrants each season.
